Meridian M1 Front light · user manual Read the two pages about the battery. The rest of this manual you can work out by pressing the button, and we have written it down anyway. In the box · Light · Handlebar bracket (22.2 – 31.8 mm) · USB-C cable, 400 mm · Rubber shim for narrow bars · This manual
Fitting it 1 Open the bracket by pulling the tab away from the hinge. It is stiff the first time and never again. 2 If your bars are thinner than 25 mm, wrap the rubber shim around them first. 3 Close the bracket until it clicks twice. One click is not enough and the light will rotate. 4 Slide the light in from the front until it stops. To remove it, press the grey tab underneath and slide it forward. Modes and run time MODE OUTPUT RUN TIME PRESSES High 800 lm 1 h 40 1 Medium 400 lm 3 h 30 2 Low 150 lm 9 h 00 3 Day flash 800 lm 14 h 4 Off — — hold 1 s Run times are measured from full charge at 20 °C until output falls below 70 per cent. Below freezing, expect roughly a third less.
The battery Charging USB-C, 5 V, up to 2 A. A full charge takes about two and a half hours from a 2 A source and about five from a laptop port. What the light tells you Red while charging, green when done. If red is blinking, the pack is below 3.0 V and will take twenty minutes before normal charging begins. Storage If you are putting the light away for the winter, charge it to roughly half first and top it up every three months. A pack stored empty for a season may never come back. Cold Below 0 °C the light starts in Medium rather than High and steps up once the pack warms. This is deliberate. Replacing it The pack is glued and we are not going to tell you it is user-serviceable. Send the light back and we will fit a new pack for the price of the pack. Anything we replace, we recycle.
If something is wrong Nothing happens when I press Hold for one second. A short press from off does nothing on purpose, so it cannot switch on in a bag. It dims after a few minutes Normal. High output steps down as the body warms; it steps back up when you start moving faster. It rotates on the bars The bracket is on one click, not two. Open it fully and start again. Water got in Stop using it, leave it open end down for a day, and contact us. It is rated IPX6, which is rain, not a pressure washer. The beam has a dark edge That is the cut-off. It keeps the light out of the eyes of people coming towards you and it is the whole point of the lens. Two-year guarantee, from the date on your receipt. It covers the light and the bracket; it does not cover the cable, which we will send you anyway if it fails. support@meridian.example
